    Position Summary:


    The internship will be based in our Cambridge, MA office.  The Organizational Development Intern will add value to Accion through support of the organization’s performance and talent management processes and implementation of high-quality organizational development initiatives and programs designed to ensure excellence in attaining Accion’s mission and objectives. He/ She will strategize, develop and support key organizational activities during the duration of the internship, including the annual employee engagement survey, the annual talent review process, and Accion’s internal coaching program.

    The intern will also look closely at Accion’s performance management process and assist in improvements to the process.

    The intern will gain exposure to organization and employee development in a global non-profit organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to apply and expand their skills in data input and analysis, communications, and training and development in a non-profit Human Resources setting.


    Performance Feedback

    • Support the redesign and improvement of Accion’s performance management processes.
    • Analyze key data to determine and better understand employee usage trends.
    • Research industry trends and propose best practices relevant to Accion’s structure and work.
    • Support the rollout of new performance processes including development of core communication and staff training.

    Employee Engagement             

    • Analyze employee response trends and provide recommendations around key areas to address; support the launch and marketing of this year’s employee engagement survey

    Accion Mentor Program

    • Support the HR Specialist in the execution of Accion's Mentor Program, including coordinating mentoring activities and developing program resources and materials.


    • Support development of organizational communications, training materials, and other resources.
    • Source and market professional development opportunities.
    • Provide general administrative support to the Learning and Organizational Development unit and the Human Resource team as required.


    • Graduate student studying Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field preferred;
    • Excellent organizational and administrative skills, strong attention to detail;
    • Strong oral and written skills
    • Fluency in English required, proficiency in Spanish (oral and written) highly desired
    • Ability to think strategically
    • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office; strong Excel skills required
    • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
    • Commitment to / interest in Accion’s mission and values
