    Position Summary 


    Accion is currently recruiting a Program Coordinator, to be an integral member of the Accion Global Investments team, providing operational, analytical and administrative support to keep the high-performing team running effectively. The role will provide exposure to all aspects of the investment team’s work, including pipeline development, portfolio monitoring and analytics, market and sector analysis, organizational development and support of the wider impact investing industry – all with a focus on microfinance and innovation in financial inclusion. The position is full-time in a dynamic, hard-working team, with opportunity for growth for high achievers.



    Transaction and Portfolio Management Support

    • Conduct country research and market intelligence to support Investment Officers;
    • Support Investment Officers on transactions including due diligence, company analysis, and development of investment proposals;
    • Support Portfolio Manager with fund and portfolio level metric collection and analysis, generate reports for internal and external reporting;
    • Support Portfolio Manager on the annual audit process and coordinate audit materials with other Accion departments;
    • Develop knowledge on investment management software (efront) to support Portfolio Manager.

    Business Development, Marketing & Outreach Support

    • Assist in the development of presentations, fundraising documents and investment committee memos;
    • Support Accion Global Investments´ internal/external marketing and foster industry recognition, including liaising with Accion’s Communications team, development of blogs, articles, and presentations, among others;
    • Inform the team of upcoming conferences and coordinate registration and attendance.

    General Administration and Knowledge Management

    • Provide general administrative support to the CIO, Deputy CIO and the team as needed including, but not limited to, scheduling and coordinating travel and meetings, and coordinating visa applications;
    • Schedule, develop agenda, and produce minutes for team meetings;
    • Maintain orderly (electronic and paper) filing systems and process documents;
    • Assist hiring processes for the team;
    • Prepare and approve timesheets and expense reports.


    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or a related field;
    • Up to three years of experience;
    • Excellent English communication skills; Proficiency in Spanish is a plus;
    • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite;
    • Knowledge of financial analysis, financial inclusion, and/or impact investing industry is a plus;
    • Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload, track assignments and provide organizational support to colleagues;
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to follow through;
    • Solutions oriented approach with ability to multi-task and troubleshoot;
    • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration, and demonstrated ability to build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds;
    • Ability to work independently while working with a global team.
