The Director, Content Strategy and Outreach is CFI’s biggest advocate, ensuring our research reaches our stakeholders and inspires action. We are looking for a creative thinker who enjoys taking complex issues and distilling into messages that resonate with our audiences and ultimately drive policy change, someone who is great at building relationships and can act as a trusted advisor to CFI’s researchers and partner organizations, and who takes pride in consistently delivering exceptional-quality work in a fast-paced environment. This is a new position and an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in the success of CFI’s new strategy, which launched in 2020.
Here at the Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI), we work to advance inclusive financial services for the billions of people who currently lack the financial tools needed to improve their lives and prosper. We leverage partnerships to conduct rigorous research and test promising solutions, and then advocate for evidence-based change. CFI was founded by Accion in 2008 to serve as an independent think tank on inclusive finance.
Why you should consider working with us:
In this position you will work closely with CFI’s researchers to provide strategic guidance and ensure CFI’s knowledge products and messaging resonate with the audience they seek to influence, and oversee CFI’s knowledge product pipeline (blog posts, publications, events, etc.), including the end-to-end content production process and facilitation of CFI’s editorial committee. To be successful, you will need exceptional editorial judgement to help shape our knowledge products and the messages they convey.
Influence strategy and campaign development
You will craft creative and effective advocacy and promotional campaigns that optimize CFI’s impact and strengthen CFI’s reputation as a thought leader. This will require a keen eye for messaging and a passion for developing campaigns that drive policy change.
