Working closely with the MD and our regional managers, you will be a key supportive team member for the GLAS leadership and collaborate with co-workers who are industry experts with diverse backgrounds, being part of a team that is shaping and challenging the industry. You will work to support our global program management efforts; lead our internal communications initiatives and collaborate with other teams to support external communications; oversee board and management reporting; contribute to industry engagements and GLAS thought-leadership efforts.

 

Position Summary: 

This position reports directly into the Managing Director (MD) of the Global Advisory Solutions (GLAS) team and is a key part in ensuring efficient financial and talent resource planning to meet department goals.  This position will work closely with regional program managers to drive the GLAS budget process and analysis, oversee systems for timely staff utilization and ensure overall efficient resource deployment. This position is essential in the allocation, development, growth, and effectiveness of the team.

 

Working closely with the GLAS leadership team, you will also support key department-wide initiatives each year, ensuring high-quality project execution and ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment.

   

Position Responsibilities: 

In this position you will need excellent resource management skills and be comfortable working across regions and functions. We will expect you to use your analytical skills, be a proactive problem solver and take ownership of your work. As the GLAS Resource Management Manager you will:

GLAS Budget Management:

  • Serve as lead for annual department budget; work with management, program and project managers to develop and prioritize project budgets and track resource allocation throughout the year. Working closely with Finance, participate in the review of the department level budget to actuals throughout the year and assist in the overseeing of the budget reforecasting process.
  • Provide analytic support for GLAS sustainability planning: working closely with RPMs, support GLAS pricing analysis, ensuring GLAS rates are set for long term sustainable coverage.
  • Provide necessary revenue analysis to Sales Management Office (SMO) to support accurate and timely analysis of sales targets, including consistent review of sales funnel in Salesforce against sales targets.
  • Provide input into financial components of GLAS scorecard on a quarterly basis, sourcing information from Finance and other GLAS PMO team members as needed

GLAS Talent Management:

  • Provide accurate and timely report analysis on a weekly and monthly basis related to projected/actual hours, allocation and headcount at a detailed level for department employees; monitor over and under-utilized individuals and work closely with RPMs to develop actions to balance workloads.
  • In collaboration with management team, support skill mapping for the teams & forecasting skill availability
  • Ensure consultants and vendor database is up to date.

GLAS Systems Management:

  • Actively support evaluation of any new budget planning & tracking systems
  • Manage licenses of department systems together with IT, including: Wrike, Salesforce, Survey Monkey, Impact Cloud, etc.
  • Serve as champion for increasing dept-wide adoption of these systems

  

Position Qualifications: 

  • Previous budget management experience, deep familiarity with budget to actual analysis and project management systems (Experience with Wrike valued.)  
  •  Aptitude for interacting effectively with a variety of people at all levels, internally and externally, in an international and multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and diplomatic skills.
  • Minimum five years of recent experience in one or more business related areas including: Resource Management, Recruiting, Vendor Management, Consulting, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or general business operations
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, v-lookups and complex formulas
  • Ability to develop and foster strong relationships and team with various levels within and outside an organization; strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrated critical and strategic thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, analytical and diagnostic skills; ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage a team of at least five employees
