Position Summary
Accion’s global communications team seeks a Communications Manager to support a long-term program focused on connecting micro and small businesses to the digital economy. The position is located in Mumbai, India.
The Communications Manager will lead positioning strategy for the program, promoting the impact of this work to connect micro and small businesses to the digital economy and Accion’s capabilities to cultivate future partnerships. The Communications Manager will lead planning for at least one in-person industry event with a targeted audience and drive content efforts through content planning, writing and editing, and social media copywriting. As we work to raise Accion’s profile in the fields of impact investing, financial inclusion, fintech, and economic empowerment, they will work with Accion’s teams to ensure our work is shared with target audiences in a high-quality and dynamic way.
The ideal candidate has at least six years’ experience in strategic communications and content production and experience in access to finance and/or international development. We are looking for someone with a strategic mindset, keen eye for detail, strong writing and storytelling skills, and high creativity.
The position will be based in Mumbai, India and will report to the Senior Manager, Digital Content, in the United States.
