More at http://www.accion.org    About the Legal Department Accion’s Legal Department manages all aspects of Accion’s Legal, Compliance and Risk Programs. Working closely with each department, the Legal Department plays a critical role in ensuring that Accion’s mission advances, its goals are met, and projects are successful by combining experienced counsel with strong business sensibilities.   Position Summary  Accion is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join the Legal Department and provide day-to-day legal advice and counsel to stakeholders throughout the organization on a wide variety of legal issues. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Assistant General Counsel will be able to provide support in non-profit legal matters, contract drafting and negotiation, charitable solicitations and corporate filings, employment, corporate governance, intellectual property, and other areas relevant to Accion’s global operations and activities.   In addition, the Assistant General Counsel will assist the Deputy General Counsel with the operational aspects of the organization’s Risk Management Program. The Assistant General Counsel will also be responsible for assisting with the organization’s compliance-related activities, including global sanctions (OFAC) and anti-money laundering/counter terrorist financing (AML/CTF) screenings support and analysis, and the development, review and training on policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have experience in cross-border contracting and legal/regulatory risks, engaging with local counsel in various markets, and assisting colleagues at headquarters and in country offices.     Washington D.C. hybrid OR Remote position in Eastern or Central time zone.

About Resource Development: Accion’s Resource Development department has a solid track record of creative partnerships, strategic fundraising and proven results. We work across a broad base of corporate and private foundation partners including Mastercard, The Coca-Cola Foundation, FMO, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Citi Foundation. In addition, we work with individual impact investors, philanthropic donors and the public sector to carry out our important and increasingly urgent mission. Building on the existing strong base of supporters and partners, we aim to further expand the team and amplify our strategic partnership priorities.   Position Summary  The Development Support Coordinator is responsible for providing critical operational support to the Resource Development team in various capacities to ensure a highly effective, team-oriented fundraising function. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and develop in the areas of fundraising, including individual giving and institutional partnership development.   Reporting to the Resource Development Chief Development and Partnerships Officer (CDPO), and supporting the wider team, this position plays an integral role in fulfilling strategic operational and administrative duties with a focus on operational support and general administrative support. The Associate will oversee donor proposal and reporting schedules, help organize donor and prospect meetings, assist the execution of strategic collaboration across the organization to maximize partner engagement, and support the department’s overall goal of raising $8 - $10 million per year. The candidate will also support with some admin functions to the CDPO, VP of Institutional Partnerships and VP of Individual Giving such as organizing meetings, business travel and expense reports as well as other reporting and administrative needs. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn more about working in development. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and is very detail oriented.

More at http://www.accion.org   About Global Advisory Solutions The Accion Advisory team combines decades of on-the-ground experience with insights into new technologies to help our partners become more sustainable and scalable. We work with a variety of organizations focused on serving the financial needs of low-income people and businesses in emerging markets. With a presence in Africa, Asia, and the Americas, our team provides strategic and operational support to strengthen our partners and maximize their impact on underserved customers.   Our team is comprised of Regional Program Managers (RPMs) and their teams who are responsible for driving new business, bringing local context and hands on experience to meet customer needs, and Practice Area Leads who are technical area experts responsible for building the Advisory team’s expertise in core areas, driving execution excellence, and capturing synergies across technical practice areas and regions. The Practice Area Leads seek to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the execution of our engagements and to develop reusable tools and collateral for specific areas of expertise that Accion Advisory brings to all our clients.    Position Summary  The Accion Advisory team has an opening for a Director, Digital Transformation Strategy – Latin America (LATAM). This role will be and responsible for spearheading the creation of innovative, customer-centric, and scalable financial solutions in emerging markets. Working as part of a global, cross-functional team, they will provide technical expertise in digital product development from discovery through implementation to support the customer growth strategies of our partners.    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of product design methods and tools, data/business analytics, and digital distribution channels.  The right candidate will have experience working on an array of financial products and services, including embedded finance, Supply Chain Finance (SCF), remittances and payments. This person will have experience working with Financial Service Providers (FSPs), FinTech’s, Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs), digital platforms, etc. within the financial inclusion segment.   The person in this position will be based in Bogota, Colombia.   Bilingual English/Spanish is a must.
