Position Summary  

The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist reports to Accion’s Senior Director, Communications, and operates across all Accion brands, including the Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI), to strengthen and build the organization’s digital presence and cut through with key audiences. The Senior Specialist will work across the Communications team and network throughout the organization, advising on and implementing strategies that leverage our earned and paid channels to meet teams’ goals. They will bring a robust understanding of recent trends in digital marketing and SEO and will stay up to date on new developments to inform Accion and CFI’s content strategies.  

   

Position Responsibilities

 

Social Media

  • Work with teams to plan and draft compelling social media content across Accion and CFI channels with each channel’s target audiences and goals in mind. Manage content calendar.
  • Optimize website and social analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Leverage social media analytics to continually improve organic performance and identify opportunities for advertising and growth.

SEO

  • Conduct keyword research and providing feedback and recommendations to optimize search traffic to the Accion and CFI websites.
  • Provide copywriting, editing, and content recommendations for Accion’s and CFI’s digital channels with a focus on SEO.

Advertising

  • Work with the Senior Director, Communications, to inform strategies and execute marketing campaigns across social media and other advertising channels.
  • Work with internal team members and agency leads to hone Google Grants campaigns and build out additional Google advertising strategies that complement these effortsand reflect all Accion brands’ positioning strategies.
  • Monitor performance and hone digital advertising creative and targeting to optimize ad performance.

Other

  • Use WordPress CMS to make updates to the Accion and CFI websites, as needed.
  • Build out and optimize newsletters in MailChimp, providing guidance to improve email marketing performance and growth.
  • Build connections across programmatic teams to inform digital marketing strategies to meet goals.
  • Continually upgrade expertise in digital marketing by following the latest trends and news in this space, bringing this knowledge to the greater communications team to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  

Position Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience delivering digital marketing support to reach a range of different audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills and the ability to craft compelling, people-focused content.
  • Experience supporting digital marketing within a mission-driven organization.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO/SEM and the impacts of generative AI on SEO.
  • Experience managing brand social media channels and social media advertising.
  • Experience with general Google Ads required. Previous Google Grant experience highly desirable.
  • Strong interest in inclusive finance, international development, or related field highly desirable.
  • Interested in our mission and working globally.
  • Willingness to embody our values of excellence, respect and passion for social change.

Travel Requirements 

Some domestic and international travel may be required, less than 10%.
