Position Summary 

The Executive Assistant will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative, operational, and logistical support to the Accion Emerge team. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive in anticipating team needs, coordinating schedules and meetings, handling confidential information with discretion, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations to enable the team to achieve its goals. This role provides future opportunities for growth in portfolio management and operations functions. This position will be based out of our Washington, D.C. office.

   

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executive support: this role will be focused on supporting the Chief and Deputy Chief Investment Officers. Key tasks include calendar management, travel coordination, expense reporting, data entry and synthesis, and general meeting/task follow-up.
  • Operations and process management: provide critical support to Emerge’s day-to-day activities, including meeting agenda preparation and follow-up, invoice processing, data entry and synthesis, travel, retreat planning, annual budget preparation, and cross-team coordination with HR, Finance, Legal, etc. as needed.
  • Create meeting materials: briefing notes, agendas, slide/presentation support, and reports as needed.
  • Provide support for platform organization and management across Emerge’s financial and operational systems.
  • Play an active role in new hire exercises.
  • Any additional support required by the team

  

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of high-level/executive administrative support or other relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and a familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools.
  • Proficiency in collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.), document management (SharePoint/OneDrive/) permissions, and file hygiene
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success supporting multiple stakeholders and experience coordinating calendars, meetings, and deliverables with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload, track assignments, and provide support for high-level executives.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple time zones and possess the required flexibility/proactive planning to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated communication skills to include excellent oral and written English language skills and ability to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Communicates proactively: flags issues early, proposes options, and closes loops.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong planning skills.
  • Ability to multitask, anticipate needs, and troubleshoot independently.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and delegation of duties.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a variety of people in international and multi-cultural environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Travel Requirements

This job may require occasional travel (<15%). 

 

Compensation and Benefits (U.S.)

  • Salary Range: $60K to $70K
  • The above salary range serves as a general guideline. Accion considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's experience, education, training, skills, location, current market conditions, and internal pay alignment.
  • Accion provides a total compensation package, including base salary, discretionary merit-based bonus, and a variety of benefits including health insurance (90% employer funded), life and disability insurance, retirement plans (up to 7.5% employer match), paid holidays, and paid time-off for vacation, personal days, and sick days.

Compensation and Benefits (Global Remote)

  • Salary Range and Benefits are for candidates based in the DC metropolitan area. Outside of this area, we may differentiate salaries and benefits based on location.
