Accion is seeking a 2017 Operations and Annual Fund Temporary Employee to assist the Resource Development team in its heavy fundraising period through the end of December 2017. Tasks will include administrative and clean-up work related to the Raiser's Edge fundraising database, such as updating records, running queries and reports, filing, assisting with mailings and acknowledgements, and other assignments as they arise.

About the Accion Venture Lab Company Builder (AVLCB) Program

We are currently recruiting entrepreneurs to identify, validate, and launch promising consumer-facing fintech business models in Nigeria as part of the Accion Venture Lab Company Builder Program (AVLCB).  AVLCB will work with these entrepreneurs to build their business from the ground up, leveraging our global knowledge and expertise in fintech models for financial inclusion while also providing financial and non-financial support as the startup business scales. The program will operate as follows:

About the Microfinance Working CEO Working Group:

The Microfinance CEO Working Group is a collaborative effort by the CEOs of ten leading global microfinance organizations whose impact is felt in 86 countries on five continents, and whose products and services are designed to offer support and opportunity to millions of low-income people around the world. Its members include Accion, Aga Khan Agency for Microfiance, BRAC, CARE USA’s Access Africa, FINCA, Grameen Foundation, Opportunity International, Pro Mujer, VisionFund International, and Women’s World Banking. Since 2011, the Working Group has worked to support the positive evolution of the microfinance industry. The Working Group is committed to ensuring that the microfinance industry reaches its full potential by advocating for, and implementing, responsible business practices that keep clients at the forefront.  Its agenda is both industry-facing, working with participants in microfinance, and outward-facing, addressing the broader community, especially those who support, influence and set the environment for the industry. The Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion presently houses the secretariat for the Microfinance CEO Working Group.

The Organizational Development Intern will add value to Accion, through support of the organization’s performance and talent management processes and implementation of high quality organizational development initiatives and programs designed to ensure excellence in attaining Accion’s mission and objectives. He/She will strategize, develop and support key organizational activities during the duration of the internship, including the annual employee engagement survey, the annual talent review process, and the re-design of Accion’s corporate mentor program.

 

The intern will also look closely at Accion’s performance management process and the way it is introduced to new hires through on boarding and interim review processes.

 

The intern will gain exposure to the organization and employee development in a global non-profit organization. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student to apply and expand their skills in data input and analysis, communications, and training and development in a non-profit Human Resources setting.

We are seeking a Training and Development Intern to join the Human Resources team. The intern will focus on staff learning opportunities, in particular online and distance learning. S/he will research relevant courses for Accion staff, as well as review and improve our internal eLearning platform. In addition, the intern will support efforts to market courses and engage staff in the available opportunities. S/he may also have the opportunity to collaborate and contribute to a broad array of HR projects, including broader professional development, employee engagement, and talent acquisition.
