More at http://www.accion.org.    Background and Project Summary   Accion Global Advisory Solutions (GLAS) is looking to engage a consultant (service provider) to amplify Accion’s business development efforts in Indonesia over a concentrated three-month period.  Working closely with the Advisory leadership team, including the Managing Director, VP Digital and the Regional Program Manager for Asia, the Service Provider will utilize their networks, experience, and expertise to support Accion to develop new funding opportunities and advisory partnerships in Indonesia.   Primary objectives of this assignment include: - Identify 2-3 headline advisory projects for Indonesia (Embedded Supply Chain Finance and / or Agriculture Value Chain Finance, Digital Transformation of microfinance institution or other financial institution, Digital MSME ecosystem, Digital lending, etc.) - Prepare proposal and pitch decks for identified partners and funding agencies. Additional business development and delivery objectives include: - Improve agility and contract wins: Identify potential institutional partners / independent consultants that enable the Advisory team to rapidly draw in required skills, technical expertise, “know-how” for projects - Expand Institutional and C-Suite Relationships: Expand network of institutional contacts that have potential for collaborative project implementation and business development. Support Accion to make C-suite connections to drive potential new business (event visibility, direct connections, partners with “know-who”) - Increase Accion’s advisory visibility in Indonesia: Identify institutional partnerships in Indonesia that extend visibility of Accion advisory product lines and position Accion as a thought leader in selected focus areas (e.g. last-mile digitization, inclusion of women-owned SMEs, embedded finance, data-driven insights, etc.)

More at http://www.accion.org.    Project Summary:   The Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI)’s work on Data Risks and Opportunities focuses on supporting transparent practices, responsible algorithms, and emerging frameworks for data rights in financial inclusion.   We look for ways to bring transparency to the data practices of digital financial service providers. We study how financial service providers use algorithms and what must be done to protect already-underserved populations against algorithmic bias in automated decision-making. We also monitor emerging data privacy and protection frameworks around the world to document what does and does not work to advance financial inclusion while safeguarding data privacy, portability, and other consumer rights.   CFI is looking for data and fintech experts who are available to consult on short and long-term research projects. This call is not tied to an immediate opportunity but rather, upcoming needs over the coming year.  Applicants can be individuals or organizations and can be based globally.

Position Summary  The Corporate Controller oversees the accounting, grants/contracts, audit, financial statement, tax and related activities for Accion and all its related entities worldwide.  This includes extensive work with non-profit and for-profit entities as well as mission-related investments and investment funds. This position also provides the Finance and Accounting team with accounting, analytical, and management support and guidance and coordinates with relevant consultants and providers of key audit, tax and investment services. The Corporate Controller will have frequent interaction and management of approximately 12 people who are located in the U.S., Colombia, India and China.   This position will be based in Washington, D.C. or remote on the US East coast/Eastern time zone, with periodic travel to Washington DC and international finance offices.

You will get the opportunity to interact with and learn from an impressive global network.   Position Summary    Accion’s Global Advisory Solutions (GLAS) team is looking for a Director, Digital Product Solutions who will be responsible for spearheading the creation of innovative, customer-centric, and scalable financial solutions in emerging markets. Working as part of a global, cross-functional team, s/he will provide technical expertise in digital product development from discovery through implementation to support the customer growth strategies of our financial service provider (FSP) partners.    The Director, Digital Product Solutions has a deep understanding of product design methods and tools, data/business analytics, digital distribution channels, behavioral economics, and UI/UX.  S/he will work on an array of financial products and services, including digitally-enabled supply chain finance, innovative credit and savings solutions, and disruptive payment channels and is passionate about re-imagining the delivery of financial products to underserved customers in today’s digital society.   The person in this position will be located in Bogota, Colombia.

We leverage partnerships to conduct rigorous research and test promising solutions, and then advocate for evidence-based change. CFI was founded by Accion in 2008 to serve as an independent think tank on inclusive finance.   Our role in the inclusive finance space is to identify learning gaps that could advance financial health of low-income people and undertake research and pilot testing to advance our collective understanding of what would drive progress. In areas where there is clear evidence of what works, we collaborate with partners to advocate and embed learning into implementation and practices of partners. We partner with all types of stakeholders – donors, investors, policymakers and providers – both in its research and pilot testing work as well as during its advocacy phase.   Position Summary   The Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI) is searching for a Research Manager who, through a combination of project management, quantitative and qualitative research design and analysis, writing blog posts, and supporting other knowledge products, will contribute to initiatives across CFI’s portfolio. CFI’s research spans several thematic areas and covers the most pressing issues facing inclusive financial services, including consumer protection, data risks and opportunities, women’s financial inclusion, and climate risk and resilience.

The impact measurement framework will serve both external and internal audiences. Accion’s departments will continue to have responsibility for their own specific IMM. The Senior Director will provide strategic leadership and direction-setting to these teams, along with coordination and support where needed. Position Summary  The Senior Director, Learning and Strategic Communications will be CFI’s lead on the anticipated USAID Green Recovery Investment Platform (GRIP) project focusing on enhancing learning and capacity to address climate change through green investments. This position is contingent upon award. The GRIP project, to be awarded in the Spring of 2022, will be USAID’s signature program in support of the U.S. Government commitments to a green COVID-19 economic recovery.  GRIP will help USAID to attract, reduce real and perceived risks from, and mobilize private and public finance and private sector actions to meet immediate, urgent adaptation and mitigation needs while building the enabling environment to support net-zero commitments and encourage alternatives to investments that exacerbate existing structural inequities.   The GRIP project has three objectives; this position leads Objective 3. - Objective 1: Develop and scale effective partnerships and solutions to achieve transformational change - Objective 2: Foster an inclusive enabling environment to build shared vision and accelerate collective action - Objective 3: Advance learning and development community capacity to mobilize catalytic private sector partnerships and finance
