More at http://www.accion.org    About the Legal Department Accion’s legal team manages all aspects of Accion’s Legal, Compliance and Risk Programs. Working closely with each department, the legal team plays a critical role in ensuring that Accion’s mission advances, its goals are met, and projects are successful by combining experienced counsel with strong business sensibilities.   Position Summary  Accion is seeking an experienced and driven Associate General Counsel, Impact Investments (“Investments Counsel”) to join the Accion Legal Department and support all legal matters related to Accion’s mission-related, impact-focused investments in the financial inclusion space. The Investments Counsel will also assist with private fund formation and investment management.  Reporting to the General Counsel, the Investments Counsel will be able to provide advice on all aspects of investments and fundraising, including day-to-day cross border transactional support, fund formation, and fund structuring. The successful candidate will have working experience in equity and quasi-equity investment transactions with an emphasis in emerging markets, forming private equity funds and related investment vehicles, managing outside counsel relationships, and assisting with investments by institutional investors in private funds and co-investments.  Since Accion’s investments activity is primarily located within Accion Impact Management, a federally registered Investment Advisor, Investments Counsel will also be responsible for assisting with the organization’s compliance program.

We are looking for colleagues who share our passion to join us on the journey.   We are a small, passionate team making an outsized impact by leveraging partnerships to conduct rigorous research, test promising solutions, and advocate for evidence-based change. Last year, we published almost 50 knowledge products and tallied impressive audience gains on social media and the CFI website. We also host several events, including Financial Inclusion Week, our flagship annual virtual gathering for the global financial inclusion community, which in 2021 featured 340 speakers and 3,100 registered participants—representing 1,600+ organizations and 138 countries.   Position Summary  The Content Manager ensures that all content – internally and externally –builds CFI’s reputation as a thought leader, and is written in the appropriate voice and tone for respective audiences. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, who enjoys taking complex content and distilling it into messages that resonate with our audiences, and who takes pride in consistently delivering exceptional-quality work in a fast-paced environment. More at http://www.accion.org.    Position Summary   The Accion Global Advisory Solutions team is seeking a Manager, Payments for the Northern Triangle (NT) countries of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador to lead strategic projects in the region as part of our work with the Partnership for Central America (PCA). PCA is a multi-national coalition of private organizations in collaboration with governments, non-profit groups, and private philanthropy to mobilize and coordinate private investments to help ensure those investments have a measurable and sustained impact on the people of Northern Central America for a better life in their homeland.   The candidate should be passionate about re-imagining the delivery of financial products to underserved customers in the region, working closely with Small Holder Farmers, micro merchants, and gig workers. The successful candidate will take the lead in the conceptualization, design, and consequent implementation of innovative, scalable and fit-for-purpose financial products that respond to customer needs, such as payment solutions, digital wallets, e-commerce platforms, credit, and savings solutions, that meet the needs of the strategic segments in the region.   The person in this role will be the focal point for the delivery of the projects, leading multi-disciplinary teams commanding the project through implementation. The Manager, Payments has a deep understanding of customer financial services needs and how technologies and other factors influence their perspectives, experience and decision making.   The person in this position can be based in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, or Costa Rica; Guatemala, preferred.

The end users of Ovante are microentrepreneurs who can access the platform directly from their cellphone or desktop. The platform consists of 17different topics around managerial, financial, and digital skill building and guides its users through the different course contents, introducing incentives for them to finish each topic, and providing them with tools to apply concepts learned on Ovante in their day-to-day businesses. Ovante aims to not only provide business concepts once, but to maintain an ongoing dialogue with entrepreneurs to support the evolution of their businesses and help guide them in accessing financial services from which they could benefit. Ovante help users to have easier access to credit by providing financial services providers with alternative data that can be used to complement a credit assessment and increase the chances of Ovante´s users to get a loan.   Position Summary Accion is seeking a visionary leader, with a commercial mindset and passion for social change to lead the scale up and go-to-market phase of Ovante in Latin America. This work includes developing and implementing the product strategy, managing the online platform, and scaling the product regionally through both a B2C approach via digital marketing channels as well as a B2B approach, sourcing institutional clients to integrate Ovante into their customer service offering. Ovante Manager will need to be adept in managing a digital product from end-to-end and understand low-income populations and their financial capability needs. Problem solving, positive attitude, teamwork, and eagerness to challenge the status quo are key skills for the position.   The person in this role will be based in Bogota, Colombia.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to provide post-investment support across the fund’s expanding portfolio in India and Southeast Asia, furthering the growth and success of our investees and building the financial inclusion ecosystem.   The PE Senior Manager will be joining a diverse team of global investing and operational experts that have invested in and supported over fifty early-stage fintech startups across five continents. Ideally, this role will be based in Mumbai, India; however, this position can also be based in any of the following cities: - Bangalore, India - Jakarta, Indonesia - Singapore - Manila, Philippines The person in this role will report to the Operating Partner of Accion Venture Lab.
