More at http://www.accion.org.    About Center for Financial Inclusion: The Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI) team is driven by our vision of a world where all people are able to use financial services and participate in the economy to improve their lives and prosper. We are looking for colleagues who share our passion to join us on the journey.   We are a small, passionate team making an outsized impact by leveraging partnerships to conduct rigorous research, test promising solutions, and advocate for evidence-based change. Last year, we published almost 50 knowledge products and tallied impressive audience gains on social media and the CFI website. We also host several events, including Financial Inclusion Week, our flagship annual virtual gathering for the global financial inclusion community, which in 2021 featured 340 speakers and 3,100 registered participants—representing 1,600+ organizations and 138 countries.   Position Summary  The Communications Specialist ensures that all content – internally and externally –builds CFI’s reputation as a thought leader, and is written in the appropriate voice and tone for respective audiences. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail, who enjoys taking complex content and distilling it into messages that resonate with our audiences, and who takes pride in consistently delivering exceptional-quality work in a fast-paced environment. This is a new position and an exciting opportunity to help expand CFI’s visibility at a critical time in inclusive finance.

More at http://www.accion.org.    Background and Project Summary   Accion Global Advisory Solutions (GLAS) is looking to engage a consultant (service provider) to amplify Accion’s business development efforts in Indonesia over a concentrated three-month period.  Working closely with the Advisory leadership team, including the Managing Director, VP Digital and the Regional Program Manager for Asia, the Service Provider will utilize their networks, experience, and expertise to support Accion to develop new funding opportunities and advisory partnerships in Indonesia.   Primary objectives of this assignment include: - Identify 2-3 headline advisory projects for Indonesia (Embedded Supply Chain Finance and / or Agriculture Value Chain Finance, Digital Transformation of microfinance institution or other financial institution, Digital MSME ecosystem, Digital lending, etc.) - Prepare proposal and pitch decks for identified partners and funding agencies. Additional business development and delivery objectives include: - Improve agility and contract wins: Identify potential institutional partners / independent consultants that enable the Advisory team to rapidly draw in required skills, technical expertise, “know-how” for projects - Expand Institutional and C-Suite Relationships: Expand network of institutional contacts that have potential for collaborative project implementation and business development. Support Accion to make C-suite connections to drive potential new business (event visibility, direct connections, partners with “know-who”) - Increase Accion’s advisory visibility in Indonesia: Identify institutional partnerships in Indonesia that extend visibility of Accion advisory product lines and position Accion as a thought leader in selected focus areas (e.g. last-mile digitization, inclusion of women-owned SMEs, embedded finance, data-driven insights, etc.)

More at http://www.accion.org.    Project Summary   Accion seeks a content writer to support our engagement and content efforts through content planning, writing, and social media copywriting. As we work to raise Accion’s profile in the fields of impact investing, financial inclusion, and fintech, this position will work across our team to ensure that Accion’s work is shared with our target audience in a high-quality and dynamic way. This contract is for approximately 15/hours per week for 6 months.   The ideal candidate has deep content writing skills and experience, including two or more years of experience in finance and/or sustainable development. The position will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Content and is a remote position.

More at http://www.accion.org.    Project Summary   The GLAS team is  launching a project of digital empowerment in Central Asia, aiming to empower 400,000 micro and small enterprises (MSEs)[1]across Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to adopt and use digital, business and financial solutions to increase their business returns and financial health.   In the past decade, MSEs in Central Asia have been able to take advantage of new opportunities as economic reforms have progressed. But the growth of MSEs has been constrained by low levels of both digitalization and financial inclusion. The project aims to accelerate the digitalization and financial inclusion of MSEs in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. These two countries are important markets in Central Asia and will provide relevant lessons learned for other countries in the region. Accion is looking for a consultant to conduct market mapping and landscape analysis to identify and prioritize digital business and financial solutions in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan that will improve MSEs’ efficiency, productivity and growth. Results from the mapping and analysis will inform the design of a digital platform and selection of potential business and financial solutions for the platform to help MSEs in these two markets to adopt and engage with digital tools.

More at http://www.accion.org.    Project Summary:   The Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI)’s work on Data Risks and Opportunities focuses on supporting transparent practices, responsible algorithms, and emerging frameworks for data rights in financial inclusion.   We look for ways to bring transparency to the data practices of digital financial service providers. We study how financial service providers use algorithms and what must be done to protect already-underserved populations against algorithmic bias in automated decision-making. We also monitor emerging data privacy and protection frameworks around the world to document what does and does not work to advance financial inclusion while safeguarding data privacy, portability, and other consumer rights.   CFI is looking for data and fintech experts who are available to consult on short and long-term research projects. This call is not tied to an immediate opportunity but rather, upcoming needs over the coming year.  Applicants can be individuals or organizations and can be based globally.

We work across a broad base of corporate and private foundation partners including Mastercard, Credit Suisse, FMO, Bill and Melinda Gates, MetLife, and Citi Foundations. In addition, we work with individual impact investors, philanthropic donors and the public sector to carry out our important and increasingly urgent mission. Building on the existing strong base of supporters and partners, we aim to further expand the team and amplify our strategic partnership priorities.   Position Summary  The Salesforce Database Manager reports to the Vice President of Fundraising Strategy, Planning and Insights and will lead the ongoing development of our Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) deployment. This role is an opportunity for a mission-driven individual with at least three years’ experience as a database/CRM manager in a non-profit fundraising environment, with at least one year as a Salesforce administrator. The Database Manager will streamline existing processes and harness data insights to make data-driven decisions that increase the organization’s fundraising efficiency and support from individuals and institutions alike.   In this role, you will work closely with the Resource Development team to maintain the information and reporting systems in the Salesforce database. You will coordinate with vendors regarding gift processing, website integration, cryptocurrency donations, corporate matching gifts, and donor-advised fund contributions. You will provide essential support for dashboard buildout, data insights, monthly/quarterly reconciliations, and documentation of procedures and other projects as needed. This position is essential to the daily functioning of the department, for campaign and results analyses, and strategic planning.     The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving processes and adoption using the Salesforce platform. You are a systems thinker and enjoy learning about technology and how it can drive organizational impact. You naturally take ownership, can navigate unfamiliar settings, and enjoy both building and managing data systems.

Position Summary  The Corporate Controller oversees the accounting, grants/contracts, audit, financial statement, tax and related activities for Accion and all its related entities worldwide.  This includes extensive work with non-profit and for-profit entities as well as mission-related investments and investment funds. This position also provides the Finance and Accounting team with accounting, analytical, and management support and guidance and coordinates with relevant consultants and providers of key audit, tax and investment services. The Corporate Controller will have frequent interaction and management of approximately 12 people who are located in the U.S., Colombia, India and China.   This position will be based in Washington, D.C. or remote on the US East coast/Eastern time zone, with periodic travel to Washington DC and international finance offices.
