Originally a project of Save the Children International, Early Dawn Microfinance Company Limited (DAWN) began providing loans to low-income women in peri-urban areas of Yangon in 2002. DAWN became an independent microfinance company in 2015, and now serves over 200,000 clients in six regions across Myanmar. DAWN is registered with Myanmar’s Ministry of Planning and Finance and operates with a deposit-taking license granted by the Federal Regulatory Department.
DAWN expands the availability of high-quality, affordable and appropriate services for Myanmar’s financially excluded. DAWN provides group-guaranteed loans, interest-bearing savings accounts and financial literacy training to low-income women who own and operate their own businesses.

We’re looking for a Digital Content Manager to help tell our story.
The Digital Content Manager will play an essential role on our Communications team, working to raise Accion’s profile in the fields of impact investing, financial inclusion, and fintech. This position will work across our teams and with external partners to ensure that Accion’s digital content is thoughtfully created and promoted so it can inspire and inform key audiences about our work andsupport Accion’s mission of building a financially inclusive world.
The ideal candidate has developed and executed a multiplatform content strategy for a global organization, preferably one with a focus on startups, financial technology, or international development. Experience coordinating across teams and managing the work of freelance consultants is essential.
The position will report to the Director of Digital Communications and is based in Washington DC.
Accion’s HR department, headquartered in our Cambridge, MA office, supports the global staff in all areas in which we work. This position will provide the opportunity to work with a high performing HR department that supports a complex, international mission driven organization dedicated to providing financial services to the underserved.
The temporary employee will provide support on various projects and tasks in Talent Acquisition and HR Operations.

Accion Global Investments invests in established financial services providers (FSPs) that support underserved micro entrepreneurs, families, and individuals in emerging markets. Over more than twenty years, we have founded, invested in, and helped operate some of the world’s leading microfinance institutions and innovative financial service providers, building demonstration models for the market and catalyzing the capital markets to transform financial services for the underserved. In today's rapidly changing digital environment, we are also focusing on building the leading digital banks of the future, in turn reaching more clients, even faster. We work closely with Accion’s digital advisory services group, Global Advisory Solutions, and Accion’s regional teams to provide strategic and operational support to our portfolio companies, with the goal of developing commercially sustainable businesses that realize social and financial returns.
Accion currently provides advisory support in South and South East Asia to partners in India and Myanmar. In this position you will have oversight for GLAS’ current portfolio of advisory projects in the region, and serve as a senior GLAS resource for digital financial services in the region. This will include bringing new and appropriate technologies and channels to our partners, as well as identifying new business opportunities for GLAS’ expertise, including the expansion of Accion’s footprint in select priority countries (such as Pakistan and Indonesia).

This role is critical to ensuring the success of the Mastercard-Accion program and other similar activities.
